GSA Conferences

Thank you to everyone who attended our Youth Unity Summit on December 2nd.  Stay tuned for information about our Spring 2017 GSA conference!

GSAFE typically organizes two day-long conferences every school year, one in the spring and one in the fall.  These conferences are open to middle school and high school students, as well as to GSA advisors and other school professionals who are supporting GSAs and similar clubs.  These conferences provide an opportunity for students and GSAs to come together and network while gaining skills they can take back to their schools.

Here is a sample schedule from past conferences:

9:00AM to 9:30AM – GSAs arrive and check-in

9:30AM to 10:00AM – Welcome and icebreaker activities

10AM to 11AM – GSA mixer activity

11:AM to 12:15PM – Workshop session 1

12:30PM to 1:30PM – Lunch

1:30PM to 2:45PM – Workshop session 2

3:00PM to 4:00PM – Large-group afternoon session

4:00PM to 4:30PM – Evaluation and closing
