In the past couple of months, three more school districts have added language to their local non-discrimination, harassment, and anti-bullying policies to provide specific protections on the basis of gender identity and

gender expression: Green Bay Area Public School District, Appleton Area School District, and Elkhorn Area School District.

This bring us up to a total of nine school districts in Wisconsin that have added these protections, ensuring that transgender and gender non-conforming students are covered, and also helping provide clear guidance to school staff who want to make sure that all of their students feel welcome, supported, and included.
