Supporting and Including Transgender Students

More and more educators are being asked to ensure that schools are safe and inclusive for transgender and gender nonconforming youth.  Does your staff know how to respond to these requests in ways that insure the safety of all students?  This training will help you and your staff:

  • Learn how biology, expression, identity, and sexuality are different yet inter-related.
  • Understand best practices other school districts have implemented in regard to student records, bathroom accommodations, communication with parents and the community, etc.
  • Learn how to talk with students, parents, and colleagues about issues related to transgender and gender nonconforming students.
