GSAFE’s Walk/Run/Eat for Safe Schools

It’s time to dust off your cape!  We will be hosting our 6th Annual Walk/Run/Eat for Safe Schools on Sunday, October 14, 2012.

This year’s event will once again feature a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run.  And don’t forget the eat!  All participants will be invited to stick around after the event for a tasty lunch at the Goodman Community Center.

9:30am – Registration Opens

11:00am – Walk/Run Kicks Off!

11:30am – Lunch is Served

Once again, our event will take place at the Goodman Community Center at 149 Waubesa St., Madison, WI.

We’re continuing our superhero theme, so grab your jetpacks and your favorite sidekicks for a super fun, high energy event to raise money for safer schools for LGBTQ and all youth.

Superhero costumes are highly encouraged!

Register for GSAFE’s Walk/Run/Eat for Safe Schools!  You can also download an offline registration form here.

Are you up for the SUPERHERO Challenge?  Go the extra mile in collecting pledges leading up to Walk/Run/Eat and you’ll be specially recognized!

Let us know if you’d like to volunteer for the Walk/Run/Eat!

We recognize that GSAFE’s Walk/Run/Eat for Safe Schools is scheduled for the same day as the Literacy Network’s Run/Walk.  This was an unintentional schedule conflict, and we will be sure to avoid scheduling our events on the same weekend next year.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

“Words Hurt Week helped me discover the importance of intersectionality within all social movements – recognizing that we cannot make progress within the queer community without also examining the systems that impact other oppressions.”  Maria, Former GSAFE Youth Activist
